The town of General Toshevo is located in North-East Bulgaria. It is municipal centre of General Toshevo Municipality, Dobrich District.
General Toshevo is about 75 km away from Varna, and airport, 30 km from Kavarna and only 7-8 km from Durankulak and the Romanian border.
It is a very busy bustling town with schools, banks, shops, bars, night-life, theatre, police station, town hall, post office, hospital, doctors and much more. It is located on the main road Dobrich-Romania which makes the town a very important transportation link between both countries as it is near the Bulgarian-Romanian international border. The Municipality is environmentally clean region without industrial polluters, with a potential for development of rural tourism. Protected areas in the area of General Toshevo have been declared in the villages of Rossitsa, Loznitsa and Bezhanovo. Dabovik village was the first to start offering hunting tourism. Areas for hunting tourism and fishing have been designated around Dryan Dam Lake, which has been granted under concession, and landscaped facilities for recreation have been built, as well as sports facilities with open-air and closed grounds and equipment.
